Anna Silk is a Fredericton native, the daughter Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had many skills, such as being able to act, direct, produce, write plays teaching, as well as be the director of drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was the child of a Briton and the son of a Turkish Cypriot English ex-pat. Anna was a part of numerous commercials when she was a child. Anna was transferred to Toronto in November 1999 to further her acting career. Then, she settled to Los Angeles (California) over the next ten years. Seth Cooperman met Anna at an Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007. They were engaged. Anna was a convert to the Jewish faith in 2011, after she converted to Judaism. They were married civilly in December of this year. They then reaffirmed their vows in a Jewish ceremony held in Fredericton the month of April in 2011.
